Our fall Sunday school classes resume on Sunday, September 13 during the 10:00 service. Families are invited to join us in the Parish Hall beginning at 9:45 for registration. This year we will have weekly Sunday school classes during church for ages 2.5 (and potty trained) through Jr. High. In addition, and new this year, will be a class for High School youth which will meet twice a month. Beth Sherrill and Patti Crouch-Cook have accepted leadership of this group in response to many of the incoming 9th graders who still expressed an interest in staying connected with each other while serving their church and community. Please see their article in this edition of The Bridge with details of their first gathering and activity.
As I always do this time of year, I am putting out a call for Sunday school leaders and helpers. Teaching Sunday school is a two Sunday a month commitment. Each leader works with another adult with whom they share the responsibility of teaching a class, each teaching two Sundays a month. This allows time for them to be in church or have a Sunday at home. I have been making phone calls and sending emails to individuals in an effort to fill our final teaching spots. If you would consider volunteering with our Sunday school program this year, please give me a call in the church office
