St. Luke’s Sunday School

It has been great to reconnect with our Sunday school friends this fall. Sunday school classes continue to be offered weekly for preschool, grades K/1st, grades 2/3, grades 4/5 and Jr. High. If you have not yet registered your nursery through high school-age student for Sunday school, please find a form on the Ves-try table in the Parish Hall, fill it out and give it to me the next Sunday you attend church. I am still looking for someone to help lead the preschool Sunday school class twice a month as well as someone to lead the Jr. High class twice a month.

St. Luke’s is hosting a Safeguarding God’s Children workshop in our Parish Hall from 9am-noon on Saturday, November 5th. The dio-cese requires that this workshop be taken by all vestry members and all individuals working with children. This certification is good for 5 years. If you plan to attend, please call the church office to register yourself no later than Wednesday, November 2nd. There is no cost for this training.

Many thanks to Mary Kelly for refreshing and updating our big church bulletin board! Check out the “Youth” section for pictures from the September Youth Retreat to Camp Huston. Also, check out Austin’s article in this edition of The Bridge for details on what that group was up to during the retreat.

Looking ahead…Christmas pageant rehears-als start on November 6th in preparation for our December 18th performance. All children are invited to participate. Please see Julie or Ve-netia for more information.
