Bless, O Lord, us Thy servants who minister in Thy temple. Grant that what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts we may show forth in our lives. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Chorister Prayer from the Royal School of Church Music

From the Choir Loft Linda Johnson, Music Director

It’s with great delight and enthusiasm that I welcome a new year of music making at St. Luke’s. Our cup overflows with creative, talented, and appreciative parishioners – young and old! Our Music Program offers a wide variety of opportunities from playing a sousaphone or hand bell to singing in a candlelit service of Lessons and Carols in December. We welcome new ideas and new people and we are always looking for new ways to enhance our St. Luke’s community.

Please let us know if you have ideas or talents to share or if you have a favorite hymn or anthem. I’d love to incorporate them into our program.

The St. Luke’s music staff is sadly losing Melissa Cotter as Director of Jr. Choristers. Melissa is
pursuing her dream of becoming a Physical Therapy Assistant. The Auburn-based program is full-time and on top of being a mother of three, Melissa felt she could not continue with Jr. Choristers. Alicia Gehring, who has assisted Melissa for several years, will step in easily as our new Jr. Chorister Director. Thank you, Alicia!

The following is a list of our music ensembles. Please consider becoming involved. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to join the fun and fellowship!
